Poisonous Mushroom

My voice was as soft as a mosquito's. "Excuse me, is this a poisonous mushroom meal?" The bodyguard tried hard to hold back his trembling lips. "Yes." I took a look at Sandy, who was sitting opposite me. She raised her chin high and looked down at me arrogantly. We were about the same height, but I could feel her superiority. Finally, she spoke first. "Did you ask someone to catch me?" I tilted my head and thought for a moment. "Not exactly, but I really want to talk to you." She snorted coldly. "I'm quite surprised that you're still alive." Although I almost died, I was surprised to hear this from her. So I asked, "Do you really want to kill me?" "A lot of people want to kill you." She was indeed the cousin of Carroll. When she spoke, she was so smug. Even a big thing sounded unimportant when she said that. I thought for a moment and said, "Bodyguard, the mushroom meal can be served." Soon, a servant brought a few plates of fresh mushrooms. The prettiest one was the type I often saw in the video. It was red and white, and people would die after eating. There was also a roast lamb leg. I swallowed my saliva and waved at Jason, who was standing at the door. Jason came over with a wolf in his hand. I threw the lamb leg on the ground and said, "Hey, I'll give it to you. You're so hungry. I'm telling you. If you weren't handsome, I wouldn't have given it to you." Wolfie wagged its tail and leaned on the side of my leg with the lamb leg in its mouth. Look, wolves liked sheep. After watching Wolfie eat meat for a while, I patted its huge head and turned to look at Sandy. "Why don't you eat it?" "Do you want me to eat it?" Sandy's eyes widened. "Who do you think you are?" I leaned on the table and looked at her carefully. With a sweet smile, I said, "I'm your sister-in-law. Have you forgotten about me after a few days? Since I can eat it, why can't you do that? You should know how to share good things. Didn't your family teach you this?" That was how she glared at me. She gritted her teeth. "You don't deserve to talk to me like that, do you? I'm the fourth young lady of the Brown family! You're just a country bumpkin. How much is your poor life worth?" "Oh." I suddenly realized that she felt that her life was valuable, while my life was worthless. I picked up a mushroom and raised it in front of her. "I'm not a fake rich young lady. I'm from the Smith family. You're the fourth daughter of the Brown family, but so what? You have to call me sister-in-law. I am just curious why you wanted my life. I didn't offend you. You can't feed me some poisonous mushrooms just because you don't like me, can you? The members of your Brown family are too fierce." "F*ck off." Sandy was completely enraged. Her face was flushed red as she knocked the mushroom out of my hand. She stood up and roared at me, "What are you pretending to be like this for? Carroll is dead! He's dead! Can you understand? Let me go back!" The bodyguard standing behind her suddenly stepped forward and pressed her shoulder against the chair. "Fourth Miss, I don't mind tying you to the chair with a rope." "How dare you? You are a dog who makes use of people's power!" Pa! Jason slapped her in the face quickly, accurately, and ruthlessly. Startled, I hastily drew back to the couch. I thought Jason must slap her with some personal grievances. However, it was quite satisfying. This slap had destroyed half of her arrogance. Her eyes were red. She covered her face and asked, "How dare you hit me?" Jason shook his wrist and said, "Fourth Miss, we prepared a wild mushroom feast for you. I advise you to follow my words because you have to eat it today though you don't want to." "Jason!" said Sandy hysterically. Wolfie, whose mouth was full of oil, was so scared that it shivered. It stood up, lowered its neck, and approached Sandy step by step. The pair of azure eyes narrowed, emanating a sinister light. The fangs in his mouth were shining, which was very scary. Without a trace of arrogance on her face, Sandy subconsciously tried to run away but was pressed back into the chair by the bodyguard. "Fourth Miss, why don't you tell us? Didn't you hear Madam's question just now?" Jason asked at the right time. Sandy looked at the big wolf in horror, bit her lower lip, and said, "It's... Odette. It's her." "Wolf, come back and eat some meat." I suppressed the chill in my heart and called back Wolfie who was about to bump into Sandy. Wolfie put away its fierce look and ran back to my feet. It began to eat the bones without any distractions. "You guys let me go. You're as scary as Carroll!" Sandy was on the verge of tears. She almost begged. I sighed helplessly. "I can always talk to you with a smile. You're too unreasonable. Since you don't want to see me, I'll leave." I got up and Wolfie followed me with a bone in its mouth. Jason looked at the rope in his hand, hesitated for a moment, and handed it to me. "Madam, as for the wild mushroom meal..." "Let her eat it. The fantasy world is so wonderful." With that, I took Wolfie and left the villa without looking back. Carroll was on the edge of the crocodile pool, throwing raw meat into it one by one. When he saw me coming out, he wiped his hands and walked over. "Eva?" Carroll stared at Wolfie and asked. I looked around and asked, "Is there a second wolf here?" "He has never been in contact with strangers. You are the third one who can lead it like this." Carroll leaned over and patted Wolfie's furry head. Wolfie seemed to be reluctant and shook its head to avoid him. "Wolf, go back to your nest." After getting the order, Wolfie trotted back to its cabin. There was a hint of shock in Carroll's seemingly calm eyes. After a long time, he opened his mouth and said, "Kelly, it's called Eva. It's a wolf king among one hundred thousand wolves." Eva? This name didn't match its appearance at all. I took his arm and said, "You call it by its name, and I call it wolf." "This is my dog." Carroll didn't want to give up. "Ah!" I said in a coquettish voice. He sighed helplessly. "Let's go. I'll take you to see the sea." I followed him out, but in fact, I resisted in my heart. At this moment, it was already dark. What could we see? But I didn't mind picking up some shells... I was really shocked on this day! When I turned out of the villa, my vision was no longer blocked by the wall, and I was shocked by the scene in front of me. The sea surface was shining with a sparkling blue light, rising and falling with the waves. It was so good-looking. I stood there in a daze and looked at the scene in front of me. "Carroll, it's so beautiful." The stars were all over the sky, the crescent moon was hanging upside down, and the fluorescent seawater was flickering. The quiet scene hit my heart. Carroll stood shoulder to shoulder with me. "Do you know the reason why Sandy wants to hurt you?" One sentence broke all the beauty, and I was very dissatisfied. "You are not romantic at all."
