Chapter 1475

Tracey furrowed her brow. "I disagree. Arthur and I have been together for over two years, and our relationship is solid. Time only strengthens our love for each other." "Not everyone's relationship is as strong as yours and Arthur’s." Ines knew Arthur. Whenever they dined together, Tracey almost always brought him along. Truth be told, she envied Tracey and Arthur's relationship. Tracey sensed Ines had something on her mind and asked, "Don't keep it from me. Tell me what's really going on. Why did you suddenly break up?" After a pause, Tracey continued, "I won't hide it from you either. Last night, Solomon called me because he couldn't reach you. He ordered flowers for you, but when the delivery person arrived, no one was at home. He was worried sick, so he asked me to check." Thinking of the bouquet of roses she received that morning, Ines's heart skipped a beat. It really was from him! Tracey said, "When I went to the apartment, I found you had moved out. Solomon was also clueless. I asked him if you fought, but he said no. Obviously, he didn't even know about the breakup." Ines lowered her gaze, a bitter smile on her lips. "I messaged him and told him we were breaking up face-to-face. He probably thought I was joking or throwing a tantrum." Tracey looked at Ines. Since she had moved out of the apartment she shared with Solomon, it was clear she was not joking. Solomon was just too clueless to realize the severity of the situation. "Ines, did Solomon do something to upset you? Tell me, and when he returns from his business trip, I'll help you sort him out!" Ines shook her head, her face showing a gentle smile. "No, he didn't do anything to make me unhappy. I’m the problem. I don't love him anymore and don't want to be with him. I feel tired, so I want to break up." Tracey stared at her, hesitating momentarily before asking softly, "Have you fallen for someone else?" "No." Tracey breathed a sigh of relief. That was good; it meant there was still a chance for Solomon. Ines did not seem like the type to be irresponsible with her feelings and move on to someone else. Her saying she did not love Solomon anymore was not very believable. "Ines, maybe you should reconsider. Solomon used to be quite reckless, but he's changed a lot since he's been with you. I've never seen him care so much about any other girl. You're the only one." Ines shook her head without saying anything. Suddenly, she remembered the previous scene she had witnessed in the hotel room. He did care about her more than other women, perhaps because she seemed very obedient and well-behaved in his eyes. Tracey sighed inwardly, cursing Solomon for his low emotional intelligence. He could not even tell when his girlfriend was serious about breaking up. What did he do to make Ines want to break up? Tracey patted Ines's hand. "Solomon is away on an important business trip for the next half-month. During this time, think it over. When he comes back, you two can have a good talk. If there's any misunderstanding, clarify it." Ines nodded. "Thank you, Tracey." Tracey smiled warmly. "You're welcome. We're good friends, after all. If you're unhappy or need anything during this time, you can always come to me. Arthur is away on a business trip with Solomon, so I'm free. I can accompany you anytime." "Okay." Tracey added, "Also, no matter what happens between you and Solomon, we'll still be friends. Don't ignore me just because of him." "Of course not." Ines had to go back to work in the afternoon, so Tracey did not keep her any longer after lunch. She thought Ines should go back to the company early and get some rest. As they left the restaurant, Tracey remembered something and said, "Oh, right. Ines, if you have time, call Solomon or send him a message. He's been unable to reach you for the past few days and was really worried." Ines paused for a moment, then nodded with a smile. "Okay." After parting ways, Tracey went to Royal View Villa to see Blair while Ines returned to the company. Ines spent nearly half an hour browsing her phone back in her office but ultimately did not call Solomon or send him a message. She thought he was busy, so she should not bother him. Plus, she did not know what to say to him.
