Chapter 3815
It turned out that she was greedy too.
Serenity had been really stressed about getting pregnant and only succeeded after a year of marriage. She had not given birth, yet she was already thinking of getting pregnant with a daughter to build her ideal family.
“I’m going out for a walk, babe.”
Serenity added, “I’ll check on Sonny and Rowan too.”
Zachary replied, “You can take Ms. Crawford with you. Come back in the evening. The wind gets stronger once the sun sets, so it’ll be colder.”
“I know. You don’t have to be so worried. We’re in our house,” said Serenity as she walked out of the dining area.
Zachary used to be a man of few words. However, when it came to her, he would nag a lot and make many arrangements for her.
Quinn accompanied Serenity on her walk outside.
She had been talking to Grandma May since arriving at Wildridge Manor with Julian and had not been able to admire the winter view yet.
Winters in Wiltspoon were not snowy. To Quinn, it was too warm there. Nevertheless, the view she saw at the manor was no less breathtaking than what she had seen last time. There was a different beauty to it.
“Aunt Ser.”
Sonny was pulled along by Rowan with a kite in his hand. When he saw Serenity, he broke free from Rowan’s grasp and ran toward her while calling her.
“You’re awake, Aunt Ser. Do you want to watch me fly the kite? It’s windy today. I’ve been flying kites with Row and the other kids. It was so fun, but Row pulled me back before I was done.”
Sonny raised his head to look at Serenity with bright eyes.
He hoped she would say yes to watching him fly a kite. That way, he can head back and fly his kite with the other kids, just like how he did at FC Manor.
Laurence was good at it.
Ah, he missed Laurence.
Despite having only returned from FC Manor that day with Aunt Ser, Sonny already missed his best friend.
“Sonny kept taking his coat off, Serenity. I was afraid he’d catch a cold because it’s windy. I told him to put his coat back on, or I’d bring him back. Since he refused to, I brought him back to play in the house.”
Rowan defended himself.
Serenity saw the coat on Rowan’s arm. It was Sonny’s.
She tapped Sonny’s forehead and said, “You must wear your coat. Even if it feels hot when you’re playing, you can’t take your coat off. You’ll catch a cold.
“The coat Rowan’s holding is thin. You won’t feel hot if you put it on, but you’ll fall sick if you don’t.”
Sonny listened to her and passed his kite to Serenity. Then, he took his coat from Rowan and put it on.
“I won’t take off my coat anymore, Row. Can you take me back to fly the kite?”
“You flew the kite for quite some time. Let’s do something else.”
Rowan thought looking after a bunch of kids who were flying kites made him look immature.
He was already seventeen years old. He was a grown-up.
“Can we go to the bouncy castle? And the slide.”
Rowan said, “Okay…”
The playground in the manor used to be his paradise. He loved playing there when he was young. However, he rarely went there after he had grown up.
He could reminisce about his childhood if he brought Sonny there. Playing at the bouncy castle was pretty fun and destressing.
“I’ll take Sonny to the playground, Serenity.”
