“Thanks, Ms. Isabella, but I prefer standing.” Austin was not being formal but simply aware of his identity. He would not relax before his identity in the O’Connor family changed or Isabella fell in love with him. He did not want to ruin Isabella's impression of him. “Sit. If you continue standing, I’d have to raise my head to talk to you. My neck will get tired.” Since she said so, Austin immediately sat with an upright posture. Isabella looked at him for a moment and smiled. “You sit like a soldier.” Austin also resembled an elementary school student who sat straight in class out of fear of getting scolded by a teacher. He did not reply to her comment. “I love the things Louis bought for me. You must’ve been tired after shopping with them for the entire afternoon. How much did you spend in total? I’ll return the money to you.” Austin said, “Mr. Louis and Mr. Philip are shopping experts. I got tired, but they seemed fine throughout. Nevertheless, I enjoyed taking them shopping. I’m happy when they’re happy. “I rarely went shopping myself in the past.” He simply had to tell his butler what he needed, and the butler would prepare everything for him. However, when preparing gifts for others, he would pick one personally. His mother and aunts were the ones who enjoyed shopping. While he and his brothers might have gone shopping with the adults when they were young, they refused to do so even if their mothers requested them to after they were all grown up. “You must’ve been addicted to cooking.” Austin smiled. Isabella was right. “I’d try out places that I heard serve great food. However, I’d feel their food wasn’t as good as mine most of the time.” Isabella smiled. “You have a natural talent for cooking. It’s rare to see someone with superb cooking skills at such a young age. “I haven’t gotten bored of your food for now.” Austin said gently, “I hope I can be your chef forever and not be eliminated by other chefs.” Isabella maintained her smile. Her eyes gleamed as she stared at Austin. She said, “You haven’t told me how much money you spent.” He took his phone out. “I don’t know the total amount. I’ll have to check my transaction history.” Shortly after, Austin told Isabella, “Mr. Louis borrowed two hundred thousand while Mr. Phillip borrowed a hundred and fifty thousand dollars. That’s three hundred and fifty thousand dollars altogether.” That amount was an approximation, as he did not calculate every digit. The branded clothes Louis and Phillip bought for their sisters cost tens of thousands of dollars each. The two sets of accessories Louis had gotten Isabella were made of gold, so they were more expensive. That was why he had borrowed more than two hundred thousand dollars from Austin. Of course, Austin had rounded the amount to two hundred thousand for his future brother-in-law. “I don’t remember your bank account number. I’ll have Dominic transfer the money to your account tomorrow.” “Okay.” Austin did not care when she would pay him back. He was more concerned about whether she liked the items. He was the one who picked her clothes and gold jewelry. Louis thought the items were good and simply bought what Austin had chosen. “Do you like the accessories Mr. Louis had picked for you, Ms. Isabella?” The gold accessories were probably the cheapest among all the jewelry she owned. Louis was still a kid. He thought shiny stuff looked better, so he chose two sets of gold accessories for his sister. Isabella’s gaze softened. She said, “Louis is a thoughtful kid. He even bought us stuff when he went shopping. I love the clothes and the accessories a lot. “I can’t believe he remembered my measurements. The sizes of the clothes he bought are perfect.” Her younger sisters’ clothes probably would not fit them as well. It would either be slightly bigger or smaller. Only her clothes fit her perfectly. Austin did not tell her that he had helped Louis to choose her clothes. Since he had a sharp eye, he could estimate her measurements after having been by her side for some time. Therefore, the clothes Louis bought fit her nicely.
