Chapter 3769
It was not that they did not try to regain their position; it was just impossible. This was Fisher Enterprise, the Fisher family’s company, not the Clarks’.
Once Adrian and his brothers had walked far away enough, the employees entered the elevator. They did not say anything, but they all knew that the three vice presidents would eventually leave Fisher Enterprise.
Everyone was aware that several decades ago, Belinda had harmed her own sisters to gain power. Now that her sister Tiara’s daughter and granddaughter had returned, it was for both revenge and to seize power.
It was likely that Fisher Enterprise would soon have a new head honcho. However, this would not affect them much; whoever took over would still be a Fisher. They were just regular employees at the company. As long as Fisher Enterprise did not go under, a change in leadership would not impact their jobs. In fact, a new boss might even raise their salaries.
The previous head of the family’s eldest daughter Audrey was now the missus of the Wiltspoon Stones. Meanwhile, one granddaughter was the eldest daughter-in-law to the Yorks, the richest family in Wiltspoon, and another was about to join the Lewis family as Duncan Lewis’s wife. The Stones, Yorks, and Lewises were all major players in Wiltspoon.
With Liberty taking over Fisher Enterprise and being backed by these powerful families, it looked like Fisher Enterprise would thrive even more. If the business was doing well, they would not have to worry about layoffs; perhaps the company would even expand its workforce.
Everyone was waiting for the new management to take charge and hoping for an expansion so they could recommend their friends and relatives for job openings. In a tough job market, finding a good job with prospects was quite challenging.
Soon, three cars drove out of the Fisher Enterprise building, heading straight for the hospital. Caroline looked out her office window and saw the cars leave. Her expression was indifferent as she guessed her brothers were going to the hospital.
Her father could not control her, so he tried using her brothers to pressure her. Ha! She was not the easy target he thought she was. If she paid no mind to her father’s demands, then why would she give a single thought to her brothers’?
She had already pointed out the right path to them. If they did not listen, what could she do? Given the current situation, even if she forcefully took over the Fisher family, her cousin and the rest would soon take it back. Why should she waste her effort?
Besides, it was not hers to begin with. She had said long ago that if it was not hers, she would not take it; if it was hers, no one could snatch it away.
About ten minutes later, Adrian and his brothers appeared in Hunter’s hospital room. Hunter was throwing a fit, and scolding his caregiver. The caregiver looked upset but did not dare say anything, keeping her head down in silence as she endured Hunter’s tirade.
“What’s going on? Dad, you’re still recovering. Don’t get so heated,” Adrian asked, trying to calm his father down.
The caregiver explained, “He asked for an apple, so I peeled one and handed it to him, but he didn’t grab it properly and it fell on the floor. He blamed me for not waiting for him to hold it firmly before letting go. I put it in his hand. How was I to know he wouldn’t hold it properly? I immediately picked it up and washed it, but he got angry and yelled at me. I offered to peel another one for him, but he refused.”
