Chapter 3011
In the modern era, traversing the Chaos Realm Sea was the only route from the Devil Realm to the Celestial Realm. Due to its governance by the royal celestials, and the membrane of the world that formed its shield, progress from the Devil Realm remained stagnated.
Discovering a new passage to the Celestial Realm or Bleurealm would mark a significant triumph for Oliver, but Severin slipped away because both he and King Luther had not reacted quickly enough.
He turned to King Luther and noticed the traces of anger borne on King Luther's expression. "The intruder bears a fragment of the heavenly heart imprint, thus enabling him to escape heaven's scrutiny," Oliver explained. "Our oversight allowed him to breach our realm, and it is incredibly frustrating that he had killed one of the Devil Realm's true immortals!"
Oliver intentionally omitted King Luther's attempt earlier, as he knew it would be prudent not to further incite his wrath. Having known each other for countless eras, Oliver understood King Luther's temperament like the back of his hand and was cautious not to provoke any further.
Oliver's expression darkened. "His rise in strength is truly second to none. He killed Eliza even though he had just become an immortal, and I suspect he might soon become a formidable adversary!" Having crossed through the river of time in order to make a breakthrough to capture Severin, he ended up being obstructed by the heavenly heart imprints. Though he had only a brief glimpse of Severin's strength, Oliver noted that Severin seemed to bear an unusual power.
Eliza's swift defeat—especially as the battle lasted for less than a hundred exchanges—left Oliver feeling very concerned. King Luther remained silent, but Oliver's words had caused his aura to radiate a celestial power that sent shockwaves throughout the Devil Realm.
His failed attack at Bleurealm could be explained by way of the projection's failure at the last moments due to the power of time and the pressure of heaven and earth from the Bleurealm. His frustration then was not nearly as strong as it was after Severin thwarted King Luther's personal assault in the Devil Realm—a place where he was supposed to reign supreme.
Amidst his anger, King Luther glanced at the destroyed rift and lambasted bitterly, "The day of your reckoning will soon come when the realms converge!"
His fury catalyzed a tumultuous upheaval in the surrounding due to his prowess as a royal celestial. The river of time had already materialized before then, and the fluctuating laws as well as the power of heaven descended down. Every living being trembled in fear.
Practitioners across the Devil Realm whispered among each other.
"This is the wrath of a royal celestial! Who would dare to provoke King Luther?"
"He unleashed his wrath earlier. No one could have been able to escape his grasp."
"Did something happen in the Eliza Sect? First, Eliza was killed. Now, King Luther is so furious that the entire heaven and earth is starting to shake."
As the realm buzzed with speculation, Severin carried Eliza's body and raced through the rift in time and space. The heavenly heart imprint shielded him from the chaotic energies outside.
After a tense journey, Severin finally laid eyes on a glimmer of light ahead. He could already sense Earth's familiar energy and could finally breathe a sigh of relief. He reflected on his narrow escape and shuddered. "The gap between a true immortal and a royal celestial is truly immense," he mused. "I would've died if I didn't have the help of the Heavenly Heart Imprints."
Severin wore a bitter smile. Despite being a perfect-stage true immortal whose prowess could match that of a Celestial Lord, the palm print that had attempted to crush him stirred a primal fear within him.
That palm was imbued with three thousand paths, resembling a chaotic sentient entity with the supreme force of heaven and earth. Even the world itself had to yield, for resistance was a futile endeavor.
The narrow escape ignited Severin's thirst to become stronger. With the impending realm convergence, the once magnificent Bleu Celestial Realm would regress to a primordial state, and true immortals would likely become redundant in terms of strength. The minimum required to defend oneself was to become a royal celestial.
Shaking his head vigorously, Severin muttered to himself, "That's a consideration for the future. My first task will be to contemplate how to achieve perfect-stage true immortal attainment."
Severin then hastened toward the end point of the rift and swiftly returned to the Skyblue Sect. He glanced back at the crack, and summoned the surging laws of space to ensure that the crack was thoroughly sealed so the royal celestial could not trace his path.
Satisfied, Severin hoisted Eliza's lifeless form and proceeded to enter the Skyblue Sect.
