Chapter 3010
Although Eliza was only a true immortal, he was an ancient one at that, and his combat power rivaled that of a quasi-royal celestial. The notion that such a figure had suddenly perished was simply too shocking.
King Luther's soul bridged heaven and earth and scanned across the entire devil realm. At long last, he detected certain clues and beheld Severin dashing wildly through Eliza Sect with Eliza's lifeless form.
He was momentarily stunned when he saw Severin and could not believe his own eyes. That denizen from Bleurealm had somehow gotten the guts to venture into the Devil Realm! Snapping out of his daze, King Luther seethed to himself, still haboring resentment from his humiliating encounter back in Bleurealm when Severin destroyed his projection. King Luther had intended to settle the score after the realms converged, and it came as a huge shock that Severin would be audacious enough to enter the Devil Realm.
Though he was unsure how Severin managed to arrive there, he harbored a singular desire to crush Severin. Rising swiftly, he seized Severin mid-flight and bellowed, "I'll crush you!"
A royal celestial transcended across the strength of the three realms and the five elements. Even their very emotions and feelings could sway the very fabric of existence.
His thunderous command echoed across the Devil Realm, and as a colossal palm soon pierced through the darkened skies, covering the entire ground below.
Severin was racing through the Eliza Sect when he sensed a shift in the world around him. It felt as if there was a strong sense of foreboding signalling an imminent danger. He glanced up and beheld a gargantuan hand descending down on him with an aura so supreme that it could quell all resistance.
Despite the palm being many miles away, Severin felt suffocated as his scalp prickled with dread. The murderous intent permeated through the air like the Ultimate Sublimation, and only with the heavenly heart imprint did he manage to shield him and prevent his soul from crumbling beneath the celestial's overwhelming presence.
At that moment, Severin grasped the true extent of the celestial's power.
A mere breath from the heavens was enough to cause the earth to crack. Everything was thrown into chaos, and even the laws were reduced to dust.
"I need to be quick!" he urged himself on, eyeing a rift in space and time. He gritted his teeth and surged forward, expanding his blood and essence to boost his speed.
In an instant, he breached the threshold, his heart pounding as he resisted the pressure from the celestial. He then activated the heavenly heart imprint and sealed the entrance to the rift.
Severin raced onward with relentless determination, erasing his trail and dismantling the rift to thwart King Luther's pursuit. Meanwhile, the colossal hand descended upon the Eliza Sect and shattered everything in its path.
King Luther's countenance was incredibly grim. He materialized beside the sealed rift with a gloomy expression, and he glanced in frustration at the sealed rift. His voice became chillingly cold as he muttered, "How was he able to escape?"
Oliver arrived soon after. He glanced forward pensively and gently raised his hand to conjure up the great path.
He manipulated time, and countless scenes unfurled before them, beginning with Severin's arrival to Eliza's demise. Finally, he paused at the exact moment Severin passed through the rift.
King Luther frowned and said, "How did this happen? And how is he unaffected by this? He shielded his presence from the Devil Realm up until the point of Eliza's death."
Oliver pondered briefly before responding, "I surmise that it is the power of the heavenly heart that grants him immunity to the devil realm's suppression."
He attempted to mobilise his powers to locate the origin of the rift and continue onward in the river of time, but a barrier left by the heavenly heart imprint obstructed his path and prevented him from reaching the part where Eliza was killed.
Frustrated, Oliver moved on to the next best option which was to view things from when the rift's sealed up. However, he was thwarted by yet another barrier and was unable to do anything other than watch the rift being sealed. He then remarked, "How unfortunate. I can't discern where the space-time rift leads to. Were it to lead to the Celestial Realm, we could easily have bypassed the border sea and proceed with our attack."
