Chapter 1716 The Truth
“Those files are on the top shelf,” Slaine said while pointing to the innermost room. “Oly, if you really want to know, just go inside.”
“Okay.” Olympias took a deep breath, thus choking on dust once more. In the end, she still walked into the room.
The room’s interior was not the same as the other room outside, which was crammed with bookshelves. On the contrary, it appeared to be a room where someone had previously resided. There was a thick layer of dust inside the room because no one had entered for nearly two decades.
Olympias had the impression that she didn’t know where to begin.
“It’s right there,” Slaine said as he pointed to the wooden box on the bookshelf.
“All right.” Olympias nodded. She walked toward the wooden box and took it down.
When she opened the box, it was the same as if she had opened the ancient sheepskin scroll that sealed the devil. The first thing that caught her attention was a doll made of straw. Numerous needles were piercing the doll’s body, and its face was hideous and gloomy. When Olympias saw this doll again after nearly two decades, it still gave her the creeps.
Olympians still had vivid memories of the events of that day.
Uncle Ansel had barged into her house with a large group of people. They promptly arrested her parents and discovered the doll under her father’s pillow. When the needle pierced into the doll's body, blood flowed out.
This may appear absurd, but Olympias had clear memories of it. There was blood flowing out of the doll's body after it was pierced by a needle, as if it was a real person.
In the ancient martial arts world, there were many mysterious things. This kind of sorcery that was capable of harming people with dolls could not be faked. That was why Regis was so enraged at the time, and also why the events had such a negative impact on Olympias’ family.
At the moment, the doll must had lost its power. Olympias put it aside. Some documents were found beneath the doll.
It detailed the beginning till end of the incident that occurred at the time. Olympias took out the documents and began reading the text that was written on them. The words recorded earlier were no different from those in her memory, but when she saw the last part, Olympias was stunned.
She found the answer in the records. The answer was not at all what she had predicted at the outset. Not only that, but she also discovered additional information from it that astounded her.
‘Uncle Ansel was not the one who framed my family back then. Wait, the culprit isn’t Grandpa’s biological child? Grandpa knew this a long time ago, but why did he choose to hide it?’
Olympias’s mind was instantly filled with a slew of surprises and doubts. She felt as if her entire worldview had been turned upside down at this point. She was unable to express her feelings in words at the time, and her brain felt like a pile of mush.
“Grandpa Slaine, this...” Olympias turned around, wanting to ask Slaine about it.
Just then, Slaine’s expression suddenly became very serious. He turned his head abruptly and yelled, “Who’s there?” It came out as a deafening roar.
A figure flashed into the room like lightning from the outside in the blink of an eye.
Slaine subconsciously raised his hands, making contact with the intruder’s palms in the air. There was a muffled sound, and the strong vigorous energy spread throughout the room, quickly overturning many objects.
Dust flew everywhere. Slaine staggered backward a few times in a row. He could feel the numbness in his palms, and his chest was so tight that he spat out a mouthful of blood.
“Grandpa Slaine!” Olympias’ face was flushed with terror.
A masked man approached Olympias from the opposite direction.
“Who are you?” Slaine growled out through clenched teeth. “You sure have some guts! How dare you trespass into the Sealed Chamber of the White Family.”
The intruder didn’t respond at all. Instead, he locked his gaze on Olympias. He was obviously here for her. He raised his palms again and directed an attack in her direction.
This man, along with Slaine, was Transformation’s powerhouse. Given their level of combat, Olympias couldn’t fight back. When Slaine saw this, he rushed to assist her by forcibly blocking the attack for her.
The intruder’s strength was obviously higher than that of Slaine. After a few rounds of combat, Slaine sustained serious injuries.
“Young Lady, I’ll slow him down for you. You have to escape now.”

At the same time, outside the Sealed Chamber.
Tyr had been waiting for Olympias here. At that moment, he heard movement inside the building.
‘Cr*p! Something must have happened inside.’ Tyr’s heart tightened instantly. He didn’t think much about it and dashed into the Sealed Chamber directly.
Before he could do that, Tyr was immediately surrounded by the guards who guarded the door. They obstructed his path.
“No one except the matriarch is allowed to enter the Sealed Chamber,” someone warned.
Tyr narrowed his eyes and scolded coldly, “Are you all deaf? Didn't you hear the movement inside? There’s a f*cking brawl going on at the oment!”
Those guards looked at each other. Finally, the one who took the lead said, “We are only responsible for guarding the door.”
At this time, if Tyr still couldn’t understand the intentions of these people, then he would be a fool. Tyr didn’t hesitate to step into the Sealed Chamber. “Get the f*ck out of my way!”
“How dare you attempt to break into the White family's Sealed Chamber?” Those guards instantly drew out their weapons, ready to take Tyr down.
Obviously, they never took Tyr’s strength into account in the first place. Tyr didn’t even bother to take out his Ormr Dagger. He directly blasted these people out of his way after a few punches.
At this time, all Tyr could think of was Olympias’ safety. He forced his way in despite the Sealed Chamber being the White family’s forbidden territory.
Tyr heard the guards lying on the ground yelling at the outside as soon as he entered the building.
“Matriarch Olympias broke into the Sealed Chamber with the Palace Master of Regal Palace! They’re trying to bring the ancient cultivation techniques in the Sealed Chamber back to Regal Palace, so they’ve broken a taboo in the White family. Someone, hurry up and stop them!”
Hearing their accusations made Tyr's heart thump violently all of a sudden. He and Olympias tried to take away the White family’s ancient cultivation techniques? What kind of joke was that?
It suddenly occurred to Tyr that he and Olympias had walked right into a trap that had already been prepared for them. Tyr had no idea what the crime was for stealing the White family’s cultivation techniques, but he assumed it was a serious offense because the enemy dared to set such a trap.
“D*mn it! They actually dared to pull this kind of trick!” Tyr was furious, and he wanted to turn around and beat up those jerks ferociously.
However, Tyr held back his urges when he heard the sounds of the battle getting louder and more intense. His top priority was to go in there and save Olympias. Following the sound of fighting over there, Tyr went to the room as quickly as possible.
Slaine had been seriously injured by the masked man at this point.
A ray of light burst out of Olympias’ body just as the masked man aimed another palm attack in her direction. Her body was covered in golden scales, as if she was dressed in golden armor.
