Chapter 1715 Various Cultivation Methods

“Oly, what brings you to the Sealed Chamber at this time? Are you looking for a cultivation technique?” Slaine asked. “Not exactly.” Olympias shook her head and explained, “The main purpose of my visit is to learn more about the incident in which my father was framed.” “Back then, Grandpa had figured out who was the mastermind behind my father’s set-up, right? However, he chose to let things slide and not pursue the matter out of consideration for the family’s overall situation. Please take me to find that file, Grandpa Slaine. I’m curious as to who framed my family at that time.” Hearing Olympias’ words petrified Slaine on the spot. He had an incredibly shocked expression on his face as he stared at Olympias. Then, he asked, “Oly, are you sure you want to look at that file?” “I am sure.” Olympias nodded her head firmly. It was clear that Slaine did not want Olympias to look into the incident. “Oly, that incident back then was a big deal,” he said again. “Even your grandfather was hesitant to dwell on it. If you insist on looking into it right now, you could end up in a lot of trouble. Have you given it much thought?” Olympias was very determined. She said, “Grandpa Slaine, I wouldn’t be here today if I hadn’t thought about it clearly. Please take me there. Now that I am the matriarch, I have the authority to order you to immediately take me to the file.” Slaine seemed to want to persuade Olympias further, but he eventually gave in. He had no reason to stop Olympias from conducting an investigation. “Oly, let me ask you one last time. Are you certain you want to continue the investigation?” “I am sure.” Olympias nodded her head firmly. “Okay then.” Slaine took a deep breath and said, “Then... you can come with me.” Just like that, Slaine turned around and walked into the innermost room of the Sealed Chamber. This was the first time Olympias came to the White family’s Sealed Chamber. She would never have believed the White family had such a rich heritage if she hadn’t seen it for herself. The chamber was identical to the library in the outside world. On the rows of bookshelves, there were all kinds of books. If one was to open a book randomly, it would hold countless cultivation techniques. There were tens of thousands of such books in this library. “There are so many bookshelves here, Grandma Slaine. Do all of those books contain cultivation methods?” Olympias asked as she walked. “That’s right. All of these books are about cultivation techniques,” Slaine said while nodding. “These are general techniques in the ancient martial arts world. There aren’t any books here that are particularly profound or amazing. Most of these cultivation techniques can only be used until you’ve reached the pinnacle of the Transcendent realm. Only a few books can assist you in entering the Transformation realm. “However, there is a room over there. For those in the Transformation realm, there are a variety of cultivation techniques to choose from. There are also a few books that can help you become a Demigod. Although we have those books on hand, the majority of people are unable to comprehend their essence. Even if those cultivation techniques exist, only a few people in this world are capable of entering the Demigod realm.” Olympias was completely taken aback. She knew that those imperial families were already at the pinnacle of the martial arts world in the mortal cities, but the cultivation techniques they possessed were minimal. When the ancient martial arts world’s Creeds casually gave them a few techniques, it was enough for these forces to take control of the martial arts world. The heritage of the White family was really terrifying. “The room over there is locked. What is hidden inside?” Olympias asked. “That room keeps the ancestral cultivation technique of our White family, which is the Empyrean Scripture,” Slaine replied with a smile. “Empyrean Scripture?” Olympias was surprised. Naturally, she was aware of this cultivation technique, which was the White family’s most powerful. However, unless the practitioner was a top talent with great fortune, this technique cannot be used by anyone. This technique was not supposed to be used by anyone, including the head of the family. Looking at the White family from a broad perspective, it was said that only two people have used this technique: the Great Elder, Clovis, and Olympias’ grandfather, Regis. Eldrian, the Demigod of the White Family, was the last person to use this cultivation technique to its full potential. He increased his combat strength from Transformation to Demigod using this Empyrean Script. Speaking of which, it was something that happened nearly a hundred years ago. “Grandpa Slaine, now that I am the matriarch, may I take some of the cultivation techniques from here and distribute them to my friends?” Olympias’ eyes gleamed when she realized there were so many cultivation techniques in the Sealed Chamber. Regal Palace had been lacking in cultivation techniques, various magic herbs, elixirs, and weapons for quite some time. Even though Dillon came to their rescue later, the Regal Palace still lacked those essentials. If Olympias could return to Regal Palace with those cultivation techniques, it would undoubtedly aid their future development. “Oly, we may look like we have so many cultivation techniques hidden here,” Slaine explained. “But they were all obtained in exchange for blood and life by the White family’s ancestors for many generations. Each of these cultivation techniques is critical to the family's survival.” “If you want to take it out, you’ll need the permission of the family’s various core members. Even if you are the matriarch, you cannot take it away on a whim.” “Is that so?” Olympias was a little disappointed. “What are you thinking?” Slaine asked while chuckling. “Every Creed family is built on these foundations. How can they be easily given away when they are our foundation? So, you should not covet these cultivation techniques, or risk losing your atriarchal position.” Olympias smiled and stuck her tongue out at Slaine. She said, “Grandpa Slaine, I’m just kidding. You are taking this too seriously. I am not interested in these cultivation techniques. Compared to these, I prefer modern stuff.” “What sort of stuff?” Slaine asked doubtfully. Olympias replied, “Weapons.” Slaine was stunned for two seconds. Then the old man nodded with a smile. The two had arrived at the front gate at this point. Slaine reached into his pocket to take out a key and inserted it into the keyhole before gently twisting it. When the door was opened, a strong stale smell comprised of dust emanated from within. “Cough! Cough!” Olympias coughed a few times as a result. “The case files from back then are sealed in this room,” Slaine explained. “No one has come in since your grandfather sent those files in. It must have gathered so much dust by now.” In fact, it had been nearly two decades since anyone had entered this room. Regis’ point of view must be the reason why no one entered this room. He was hell-bent on keeping this matter sealed for all time, and he did not want anyone to go in and look into the incident back then.
