Chapter 9 You Don't Deserve to Go Into My Room
Leona's POV:
Elara dragged me forward as I tagged along painfully. The pain in my left leg worsened. Every step I took felt like I was stepping on needles.
Right after we left the living room, Elara shoved my hand away.
She wiped her fingers in disgust. "Leo, you should just get a housekeeper to take you to the storage room to get changed. A mental patient like you doesn't deserve to enter my room."
Upon saying that, she stormed off without even looking back.
A housekeeper came up to me and led the way.
This was where I'd grown up. Even after three years, the sense of unfamiliarity was just so familiar to me. The layout of the place was familiar, but there were so many things that were unfamiliar.
The lavish ornaments, for instance, were to Florence's liking. The family photographs hanging on the wall did not have me in them.
Even the thick carpet on the stairs up to the second floor was laid out because Dad and Lucian were afraid that Elara would fall.
