Chapter 8 Still as Hypocritical as Before

Leona's POV: The three of them were so affectionate with one another, as if there was no one else in the room. They made me seem even more like an intruder. "You're just too kind. I will not spare her easily if she dares to bully you again in the future," Dad said. Then, he continued, "Did you hear me? Hurry up and apologize to your younger sister!" Lucian gave me a push from behind. I lowered my head, my disheveled hair covering the look in my eyes. Florence, wearing a customized, elegant dress and intricate makeup on her face, took me by the hand with feigned gentleness. She put on a tender look on her face as she exclaimed, "It must have been so hard on you, my dear Leona." As I stared at Florence, I recalled the time when I first met her five years ago: "Leona, moving forward, Florence is your mother, and Elara is your younger sister. But you, my princess, will always be the first in my heart," my father said, pushing me right before Florence on that day five years ago.
