Chapter 263 Diving In to Save Leona
Soren's POV:
I stood on the deck of the cruise ship, a glass of red wine in my hand. The wine swirled gently against the glass, reflecting the lights of the distant party, but I didn't feel like drinking at all.
The Larkspur pack was, as I had planned, steadily sliding into decline. I had taken my revenge on Leonard, and Leona had become a useless pawn in my plan.
Was this what I had really wanted? Then why… Why did my heart ache this badly, especially when I thought of that cold look of disgust in Leona's eyes?
When all my hatred and anger had faded, all I was left with was bottomless regret. I'd been so selfish. Jon was right— none of this had anything to do with Leona. It was my selfishness that had hurt an innocent woman.
Just then, out of the corner of my eye, I caught a familiar figure making a determined leap from the side of the ship, plunging into the pitch-black sea below.
