Chapter 1657 It Won't Happen

Margot remained composed. "I only found out about it because Tammy told me about your experiences." She placed the teacup on the table and turned to Sebastian. "You have an interesting story. I have never heard of anything similar before." Sebastian stared at her for a few seconds before he averted his gaze. He was trying to gauge how much she knew. Margot was aware of this, so she played dumb. She had no intention of revealing the fact that she had been reincarnated. She had even lied to Benjamin and said it all to her in the form of a dream. Even if Benjamin had said something to Sebastian, it wouldn't expose the fact that she had been reincarnated. Moreover, talking about dreams, she believed that Sebastian would probably resonate with her since he was also trapped in a dream. Margot composed herself and turned to Tamara. "You haven't told me what you dreamt about this time." Tamara pursed her lips. "I dreamt that I got married to Mr. Lynch ..." She slowly recounted her dream. Margot listened while trying to keep a calm face. That wasn't a dream! It was clearly the memories from their past lives being forcefully implanted in their heads! It was incredible! Did this mean that even the heavens couldn't stand by and were trying to jog their memories to ensure they would be together forever? Sebastian mumbled, "We had the same dream." Tamara looked at Margot. "What do you think?" Margot pondered for a moment. "Is it possible that these are memories instead of dreams?" She had said this to Tamara before, and she was reiterating it to Sebastian. Sebastian furrowed his brows. "Something like a past life?" Margot nodded. "Yes, exactly. I've thought about it, and it seems like this is the only explanation for these strange occurrences." Sebastian remained silent. He lowered his eyes slightly, keeping his thoughts to himself. Margot glanced at Tamara. Tamara blinked at her, and they both shared a knowing smile. This was something they had discussed beforehand. Tamara didn't want to meet up with Sebastian alone every time as it made her nervous. So, she decided to bring Margot along. Margot had assumed that Tamara didn't want to end up like in their past lives, which was why she had invited her. Margot actually thought that it was a bit of a pity. They loved each other, yet they didn't want to be together in this lifetime. The tea room fell into silence with only the occasional sound of the wheezing kettle. After some time, Sebastian turned to Tamara. "Can I have a moment with you alone?" Tamara immediately grew nervous. Margot stood up. "I need to use the restroom." Since Sebastian had made the request, she didn't want to overstay her welcome. Before long, only the two of them were left in the private room. Tamara picked up her teacup and took a sip. Her long eyelashes trembled, and she spoke before he could, "I don't care if those dreams were memories from our past lives. I promise it will never happen in this lifetime." In her dream, Sebastian had treated her poorly during their wedding. He suspected she was marrying him for his wealth. It was an uncomfortable feeling, and it made her even more reluctant to let their previous lives unfold. "Good, I feel the same way," Sebastian said calmly, looking at her with unwavering eyes.
