Chapter 1637 I Can’t Help You

Tamara was caught off guard. She turned to him and asked, "What's wrong?" Sebastian's eyes were fixed on her. "Regarding the dreams, what if it is as you said?" Tamara hesitated before she answered truthfully, "I don't know." She really didn't know. If those dreams did come true, what then? She was clueless about the future. Sebastian withdrew his gaze. "Goodbye." Tamara fell silent, thinking, "What an aloof man." Tamara opened the door and left. Her meeting with Sebastian was only to confirm if their dreams were the same. They couldn't prove anything else, so they could only take it one step at a time. … Downstairs, at a particular location, Margot and Victoria sat facing each other. Margot took a sip of the bitter coffee and couldn't help but furrowed her brows. Even though she had lived two lifetimes, she still couldn't get used to this stuff. Coffee had an awful taste. On the other hand, Victoria elegantly sipped her coffee and waved the waiter over. "Could you please bring this lady a matcha latte?" The waiter nodded and left. Margot looked at her. "I wonder what Mrs. Inkling wants to talk to me about?" Victoria smiled gently. "You can drop the formalities, Ms. Zimmerman. We'll be family soon. I just want to get to know you better." She smiled warmly and gazed at Margot affectionately, as if she genuinely liked her. Margot would have believed her if she was Benjamin's mother. But ... Margot smiled faintly. "If you only summon me to talk about this, then I'm afraid I must excuse myself. I'm busy as it is." Victoria was taken aback. She wasn't expecting this cold attitude from Margot. Margot grew up in an orphanage. Shouldn't she be losing her mind over meeting Victoria? They were worlds apart. Where did Margot find the confidence to act so coldly toward Victoria? Or was she just pretending? Victoria's smile remained gentle. "Are you busy with the club's construction work? I've heard that Benjamin has arranged the best construction team for you. You shouldn't need to do anything yourself." Margot's face darkened. "Were you investigating me?" Victoria smiled gently. "Don't be angry. After all, you're Benjamin's future wife. You should know that a family like the Inkling family will definitely investigate everything thoroughly. It's not just anyone who can marry into the family." She paused and continued, "Ms. Zimmerman, I really like you and sincerely hope you and Benjamin can be together forever. I think the both of you are a matchmade in heaven." Margot smirked. "I accept your blessings. Is there anything else?" Just as in her previous life, Victoria desperately tried to please her and ensure Margot got together with Benjamin. If she were a naive and ignorant girl, she might have been swayed by Victoria's constant praises. Victoria said, "I was on my way to shop. Won't you accompany me, Ms. Zimmerman?" Margot coldly refused, "No, thank you." Victoria's gentle smile nearly faltered. What was she saying? How could this beggar dare to refuse her? Margot suddenly stood up. "Mrs. Inkling, my friend has arrived, so I'll take my leave now. Please don't look for me again in the future unless it's really urgent." She turned and left. However, she suddenly stopped again. "Actually, don't look for me at all. I won't be able to help you."
