Chapter 423

“We’re heading to Mountain Wu?” I asked in surprise. Was Zachary waiting for me in that villa?! “Yup,” Martti gave me an accurate answer and said, “Joshua didn’t go to Europe in the end. Eason went as his replacement! Joshua and Zachary are preparing the food in the villa. It’s a blessing, and it’s all thanks to you since this will be my first time trying Zachary’s food!” I purposely made Martti jealous. “Second Brother also cooked my lunch today.” Martti rolled his eyes. “Look at you, so boastful.” I blinked at him and ended the conversation. I lowered my head and played with my phone. When I checked again, Zachary’s post already hit a million likes, and my account had one hundred thousand followers already! Below my post, the user “Sir Kennedy” left a comment. [Sir Kennedy: Sob sob sob, Miss Shaw’s comment imitated mine!] I chuckled at the comment, then typed my reply. [Caroline Shaw: Third Brother, are you having fun?] Not long after, Joshua messaged me in private. [Joshua: Bel, why did you expose me?!] He called me Bel. I guess he had forgiven me. I replied to his private message. [Caroline: “Third Brother, you can gain followers with this.] Then, Joshua stopped replying to me. I guess they were busy with their preparations. In fact, I looked forward to the party. Would Zachary propose to me?! It was unlikely for that man to propose to me in front of everyone in a high-profile manner. I assumed he was someone uninterested in even hosting a party. He probably hosted one for the formality of an engagement. I was delighted that he did this for me! I was satisfied as long as he stayed by my side. We reached the Mountain Wu Villa about nine o’clock at night. Wale waited for our arrival at the entrance. When I got down, he greeted me respectfully and invited us in. After we went in, Wale left. I was not sure where he went. Maybe he was not interested in liveliness at his age. The dazzling neon lights were all over the villa’s courtyard. Under the neon lights, there was a long white table. Under the candlelight, a natural glow shone on the hearty meal. When we were about to enter the villa, Zachary and Joshua came out. The moment I saw Zachary, I quickly ran over and hugged his waist. I greeted him sweetly. “Second Brother.” Joshua and Martti gasped at my actions! Zachary hugged my shoulder and instructed, “Let’s eat.” During the meal, I observed many red roses and decorations all over the villa. At the entrance, there were nine crimson roses displayed. I recognized the bouquet. It was the one I gave Zachary last night! Since I looked around the place, Zachary turned to me and asked, “What are you looking at?” I asked him softly, “Did you decorated the garden for me?” He did not answer my question directly. “Do you like it?” he asked. I nodded and said I liked it. Suddenly, Zachary held my hand and whipped out a ring, then put the ring on my finger. His voice was very low yet magnetic. “Bel, I don’t know how other men propose. However, I’ll give you a ring for now and propose to you in the future, alright?” The engagement was rushed. It was too late to prepare many things. I understood Zachary urgently wanted to give my parents an answer, and at the same time, make a promise to me. His thoughts were sincere. That was all I needed. The ring he put on my finger suddenly felt unusually hot! I looked at him, dumbfounded. All I had in my mind was that I would soon become Mrs. Schick! What a wonderful thought it was to be married to him! Zachary noticed my silence. He asked lightly, “Why? Don’t you want to marry me?”
