"Alright then."
Lydia Moore gave a half-smile, kicked Violet Jordan aside like she was nothing, and strolled out.
An hour passed. The bedroom door creaked open again. Violet lifted her head, and the second she saw who it was, she bolted up, eyes wide.
"Dad!"
It was Bruce Jordan. When he first stepped into the extravagant villa, he looked around with a grin, assuming his daughter finally landed herself a rich guy.
But the second he saw her battered face and bruises all over, he shoved her away, fuming. "What the hell happened to you? That Edward guy hit you this bad?"
"Don't talk nonsense!" Violet clung to his arm, glanced down the hallway to make sure no one was there, then whispered anxiously, "Dad, I'm being held here by this woman—her last name's Moore. You have to find Edward Hawthorne! Or even Alice Sterling! Just get someone!"
"W-What? What’s going on?"
"No time to explain! Just go! If you don’t, I’m done for!"
