Chapter 707

Third person's POV "Yes, Aiden is Aiden Greenwood, and I'm Noah Greenwood. Tabitha, don't you think it sounds great?" Noah's eyes sparkled with anticipation. He seemed to care deeply about Tabitha's opinion on the names. A ripple stirred in Tabitha's heart. She nodded and said, "Yes, it sounds nice. How have you been these years?" "Great. Alpha Derek knew I liked to draw, so he specially hired a famous teacher to guide me and arranged this school for me. Now I've caught up with the normal students' progress and even got a guaranteed admission spot with a full scholarship." Noah's face was beaming with pride and gratitude, his eyes filled with dreams for the future. Tabitha raised her hand, intending to pat the teenager's hair as she used to, but found she needed to lift her hand a bit to reach. She smiled and said, "I always knew you were amazing. How about Aiden? How is he?" "He never had an interest in writing or drawing, only in fighting and such. So, Alpha Derek sent him to a police school right away, and he's been on missions since two years ago. When he's on a mission, I can't contact him at all. I always worry about him, but he loves this kind of life, so I can only support him silently." Noah said, scratching his head, a hint of helplessness and concern in his eyes. "By the way, Alpha Derek hasn't visited me for a long time. Is he alright recently?" Noah suddenly looked up, his eyes filled with care and worry as he asked Tabitha. The innocent teenager Noah was obviously unaware of the many things that had happened over the years. Tabitha smiled and said, "He's not in the States now. Did he used to visit you often?" "In the first one or two years, yes. He would personally ask about my studies and appreciate my paintings. But in the last two years, he must have been busy with work. The last time I saw him was half a year ago, and he had lost a lot of weight." Noah said, scratching his head again, a look of concern and confusion on his face. "Um, Tabitha, I don't know what your feelings are towards Alpha Derek. At first, I thought he was the worst person in the world because of the special circumstances when we were taken from the island. But later, as I got to know him, I gradually realized that although he is not talkative, he is actually a thoughtful and responsible man." Noah expressed his inner thoughts frankly, looking at Tabitha without blinking, seemingly expecting her response. Tabitha was reluctant to talk much about Derek. She paused, then stated the purpose of her visit, "Has Lucian contacted you?" "Lucian is always elusive. He came a few times when I first started school, but then he disappeared." Noah shook his head. "Can you get in touch with him?" Tabitha pressed, her eyes showing a hint of anxiety. Noah shook his head again and said, "I only have his old contact information, but that number has long been canceled. I don't know what he's been up to these years. He doesn't visit me anymore." After hearing this, Tabitha's face showed disappointment. Seeing this, Noah became worried and quickly asked, "Tabitha, is something wrong?" "I have something very important to find Lucian for," Tabitha said with a frown, her tone heavy. "In that case, how about we go back to the island to see? Over these years, Alpha Derek has built our island very beautifully, even opened a special air route, built new roads on the island, and the fishermen's fishing has become more planned. In short, it has changed dramatically, and you'll see when you go back with me." Noah enthusiastically suggested, his eyes sparkling with excitement. He seemed to really want Tabitha to see the new face of the island. "Aren't you worried about missing school?" Tabitha said, looking at the students in the distance, hurrying by with their textbooks. "I've already been guaranteed a place, so it's not very important whether I attend class or not. Come on, I'll take you back," Noah said confidently. Noah used to be a silent and reserved boy, but now he seemed like a different person. His personality had changed greatly. He was no longer gloomy as before but was full of sunshine and vitality. Later, when Tabitha boarded the island with Ayla, she was indeed surprised by the scene in front of her. In the past, not only was the island's transportation very inconvenient, but it also couldn't provide its own electricity, and the residents still maintained the traditional lifestyle of living off the land and the sea. However, now the island's roads crisscrossed in all directions, every household had electricity and the internet, and the roads were all paved with clean and tidy asphalt. Even some of the fishermen's dilapidated houses had been renovated, and the style was unified to use the blue and white tones of Santorini, Greece. It looked like a paradise on earth, romantic and beautiful, full of exotic atmosphere.
