Mark heard about Nigel coming back from Meryl, but Nigel didn't even bother to reach out. It felt like Nigel had completely forgotten about him ages ago, yet now he was acting like he'd missed him all this time. Mark let out a huff as those thoughts raced through his mind. He still wouldn't turn around and tried to yank Nigel's hands off. But Nigel hugged him tight. Tears fell from his eyes, one after another, soaking Mark's shoulder. Mark could feel his tears soaking through and let out a sigh. He stopped fighting him, but his words still cut sharp. "You say you miss me but vanished for six years, leaving me alone. If it weren't for Meryl checking in on me every day, I probably would've already been gone, and you wouldn't even know." Mark's voice was heavy with bitterness. Nigel quickly covered his mouth. Then, he shook his head, giving Mark a look of disapproval. "Grandpa, you're going to live to be 100. Don't say such things." He felt a wave of guilt as he thought about Mark
