The people watching the show in the corridor had been cleared away by Dani, and only the restaurant’s security guards were left to surround the scene. The overhead chandelier was emitting warm yellow light, but the atmosphere was tense.

When George came over, everyone subconsciously retreated to both sides, leaving him with a path.

Yasmine was supported by Leanne as she took a few steps forward. Looking at George, her tears were glistening in her eyes. She looked weak and charming. Her tone was filled with grief and guilt as she said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Laine, for disturbing your meal.”

“What’s going on?” George asked, raising his eyes to look at the opposite side. When he saw Suzy, his eyes narrowed slightly.

Dani never expected it to be George Laine. Her expression changed slightly. Then, she took a step back to protect Suzy behind her.

George also looked at Sherman. His posture appeared leisurely, but he said nothing as if he was waiting for Sherman to call him ‘Uncle George’ as well!

Sherman’s face was somewhat taut. He gritted his teeth and showed a fake smile. “I’ll pay a more formal visit with Zee on another day!”

Yasmine walked over, and her gaze toward Suzy changed. Compared to the hatred before, the look in her eyes was much gentler now as she said with a smile, “So, you’re Mr. Laine’s niece? We’ve gotten into such a big misunderstanding! Leanne is short-tempered, and she didn’t mean what she said. Please don’t take it to heart.”

Leanne quickly apologized. “I really didn’t know that you were Mr. Laine’s… niece… It’s all my fault.”

Tiana walked over fearfully and said, “Ms. Zee, I’m so sorry!”

Just because of the words ‘Uncle George’, everyone changed their expressions in an instant. 

Suzy’s eyes were cold 

Her frankness was making Yasmine feel somewhat embarrassed. She originally wanted to deny it, but after she thought about it, she smiled implicitly. “I don’t know why he likes me either.”

Suzy turned her head and glanced at the woman named Yasmine.

Then, she quickly remembered that Cece had watched a Netflix show before this and Yasmine was the actress who played the role of the princess. She did not have a lot of scenes, but the scenes she was in were quite outstanding. Cece even said that it was a pity she was unpopular.

She also remembered the woman in blue, who was also a small celebrity named Tiana Asher. 

Tiana did not conceal the envy on her face. “With George by your side, you’ll have everything you’ll ever need. In any case, don’t forget about me when you’re a big movie star in the future.”

Yasmine smiled reservedly and said, “Do you even need me to support you? Don’t you have Matthew Ledger?”

Tiana’s eyes flashed as she put on lipstick in front of the mirror. She said complacently, “It took me so much to win over Mr. Ledger’s heart. It won’t be easy for me to make any requests right now.”

There were bathrooms inside the private rooms of the restaurant, so very few customers would come here. The two chatted without restraint, and just as they were about to leave, they heard a cold voice from behind them saying, “Hold it!”

Both of them were startled and turned around abruptly.

Behind them was a hollowed-out wooden door. It was their first time coming over, so they did not understand the structure of the place. They thought it was a wall, so they had no reservations when they were chatting. The two never expected it to be a door. 

The two looked at each other, wondering how much Suzy had heard. Tiana spoke up first, “Who are you?”

Suzy approached them and looked at Tiana coldly. “Is what you said about your relationship with Matthew true?” 

Tiana immediately felt more relieved. It turned out this woman was just one of the many women who admired Matthew.

She gave it a thought, wrapped her hands around her chest, and said, “Does that have anything to do with you? Mr. Ledger hates harassment the most. You’d better not cause me any inconvenience. Otherwise, if he sees you later, I won’t be able to help you!”

Suzy raised her eyebrows and asked, “He’s here?”

Tiana perked up her chin. “Of course. Mr. Ledger was the one who brought me here for dinner.”

“Take me to see him!” Suzy said.

Tiana smiled disdainfully. “Who do you think you are?”

Without saying another word, Suzy grabbed her by the collar, pulled the door open, and dragged her out.

Tiana was taken aback and stumbled behind Suzy. She was about five foot six and a little taller than Suzy. However, in Suzy’s hands, she barely had energy left to struggle.

“Let me go. Let me go this instant!” Tiana tried to hit Suzy with the bag in her hand.

Suzy’s eyes were cold, and she threw her against the wall with a flick of his hand. Tiana’s head was slammed against the wall, and she screamed in agony. Her entire body had gone limp. 

Yasmine’s legs were not nimble, so she was rather slow to catch up. She reached out to grab Suzy’s arm and yelled, “Who do you think you are? Let go of her!”

Suzy flung her arm away and Yasmine staggered back, also hitting the wall. She immediately let out a loud shriek. 

Yasmine’s agent, Leanne, ran over and helped Yasmine get up before shouting angrily, “Where’s security? Security! Security!”
The restaurant’s security guards and passing waiters all ran over to stop Suzy. “No matter what the reason is, Miss, you shouldn’t be hurting anyone here. We’ll call the police!”

Suzy was still holding onto Tiana’s hand. Her face was white as snow, but her pair of cold eyes was filled with hostility. “Get out of the way!”

Yasmine saw a familiar figure passing by and immediately shouted, “Mr. Xantos!”

Charles walked over and looked at the chaos in front of him. He asked in astonishment, “What’s going on?”

Yasmine burst into tears and shook her head weakly. “I don’t know either. Tia and I were eating here when this woman started to beat us up without distinguishing between right and wrong.”

Leanne was lending an arm to support Yasmine. Fueled by anger, she shouted, “Yasmine’s legs have just healed, and we're supposed to film next month. But after this incident, she might get another serious injury!”

Charles’ eyes sank, and he said in a low voice, “Mr. Laine is also having a meal here. I’ll head over and let him know.”

Yasmine was the woman George had chosen for his company, so Charles naturally thought that Yasmine and George shared a certain relationship. Now that Yasmine was injured, Charles thought that it was necessary to tell George.

When Dani heard the waiter’s report, she quickly walked over, stood beside Suzy, and said in shock, “Zee? What happened?”

The waiter briefly explained the situation. They did not know the specific reason either and only knew that Suzy had injured Tiana.

Dani apologized to Yasmine. “I’m so sorry! Zee is still very young and doesn’t know the severity of her actions. Could you ladies let it go this time and not hold this against her? I’ll pay for the meals and drinks as an apology. If the two of you are injured, I’ll also take full responsibility for that.”

Leanne sneered. “It’s no wonder she’s so rampant. It turns out that she’s Ms. Jett’s friend.”

Dani was neither obsequious nor supercilious. “Yes. I was the thoughtless one.”

Tiana stood up with the help of the wall and moved slowly to Yasmine’s side. She turned her back to Suzy and looked at Yasmine.

Yasmine smiled slightly and said in a tone that only the two could hear, “Mr. Laine just happens to be dining here as well.”

Tiana’s eyes suddenly lit up. She turned sharply and pointed at Suzy complacently. “Don’t anyone think about f*cking leaving today! You’re going to be carried out of here after this!”

Charles found the private room, knocked on the door, and went in. Under everyone’s curious gazes, he went up to George, leaned over, and said in a low voice, “Can you come out for a second, Mr. Laine?”

“What’s the matter?” George asked. 

“Ms. Yamine was injured by someone and the other party is still holding onto her,” said Charles.

George’s eyes were incredibly dark. He asked in a low voice, “Who’s the other person?”

Charles shook his head. “I’m not sure, but the person is rampant.”
George nodded, stood up, and walked toward the door.

The two went out of the private room one after another. Sherman raised his fox-like eyes. “Is it Mr. Laine’s woman?”

Tanner smiled and said, “That should be the case!”

Sherman smiled suddenly. “Then I have to go and see how beautiful is the woman who can make Mr. Laine so nervous!”
