29: Alone Again

Alexa The rain fell like a natural shower from the sky. My clothes and pants were soaked. The cold water pierced every pore of my skin, making my body shiver with cold. My steps were slow and aimless, trudging through the slippery and muddy roads at the edge of this small town. No one dared to leave their houses at night. No one wanted to encounter the magical creatures they assumed were thugs. The dim streetlights were blurred by the rain, creating an illusion of blinding light. Both my arms wrapped around my body as tightly as possible. The sound of my sobs was drowned out by the deafening noise of the rain. ‘It’s all over.’ ‘No! This is just the beginning! You can now fully transform!’ Mythril assured me with an enthusiastic shout. ‘But Alpha Gabriel was injured.’ ‘Oh, please. He’s a werewolf and will recover in just a matter of days.’ Mythril rolled her eyes. ‘Now they know I’m a monster.’ ‘You’re a Lycan, not a monster!’ My sobs, blending with the rain, didn’t stop. I tried to see
