Chapter 1074

Adrian brought Gloria to the mess. They found dozens of crews and sailors sitting lounging around and having their dinner. The dinner was brought over from the ship’s galley, the spread consisting of a small variety of food but everyone enjoyed the meal nonetheless. “Ms. Sia, Mr. Theo, you’re here,” said Reuben hastily when he spotted them. He was sitting with his uncle. Casey paid more attention to them because they were all Navians. “Theo, treat this place as your home. Don’t be shy. We got meals for both of you. Come, eat.” He passed two packed food containers to them. Adrian accepted them and said to Casey, “Thank you very much.” “Don’t mention it. We’re all Navians, and we should take care of one another. Also, Sia is ill,” said Casey. Adrian smiled but did not comment further. He said to Gloria, “Let’s chow down!” Gloria tucked her hair behind her ears and sat next to Adrian to eat. She noticed that the crew members and sailors from different parts of the outlands were looking at them throughout the meal. She even noticed a few sharp gazes from among them. Gloria did not raise her head to look at them and kept her head lowered, eating in silence. Casey, Reuben, and Goch were casually chatting with Adrian, and the atmosphere was rather jubilant. The dinner ended quickly, but Gloria did not eat much because of her lack of appetite. After dinner, she said to Adrian, “I’d like to feel the sea breeze outside.” “Sure.” Without hesitation, he helped her onto the deck. They stood on the deck and looked out to the sea under the night sky. They occasionally spotted passing merchant ships. The sea breeze blew at Gloria’s long hair and gave her a sense of tranquility. The smell of the sea stimulated her every nerve. Basking in the sea breeze, Gloria turned around and leaned against the railing. She smiled at Adrian and said, “I have it all figured out. When I’m cured, we’ll take a cruise to Oriente Isle for our honeymoon and feast on seafood. What do you think? We’ll bring Sam and Nova along too. It’ll just be us as a family. It’s going to be peaceful and quiet, and it sounds wonderful.” Gloria sounded rather excited as she talked about it. Adrian wrapped her arms around her and said smilingly, “I’ll take all of you around the world when you’re better. We’ll go everywhere we can go and experience everything we can experience. We’ll spend a few years traveling to every corner of the earth.” Gloria giggled. “I look forward to that day.” Adrian smiled. “And I believe that the day will come soon.” “By then, I’ll bear you a son so that you’ll have a daughter and a son,” said Gloria as she blushed. “I look forward to that,” replied Adrian. Gloria smiled. All of a sudden, she felt like she could not bear to leave this world because there were many things that she had yet to do. She wanted to travel the earth, bear and raise a child, and watch her child grow. She felt a sense of delight just thinking about it. At this very moment, Reuben came outside and said to Adrian, “Umm, Mr. Theo. Uncle Casey asks you to meet him at the bridge. He has something to tell you.” Upon hearing that, Adrian said, “All right, I understand. Come, Gloria. I’ll take you back to the room first.” “Go ahead. I want to stay here a little longer. I’ll be fine. Call me if anything comes up.” Gloria smiled.
