Chapter 1047
The most critical moment of their Serpent's Haven operation had arrived, and their lives now depended on whether they could get on the last flight in time.
And the chances of that happening were close to zero.
After a moment of silence, Lucas said, "I'm really sorry, sir. This is all happening because of us."
“What are you saying?” Adrian shot a glance at Lucas. “Is that all you're capable of? What you need to do right now is to come up with a way to get everyone on that plane as quickly as you can instead of feeling apologetic."
Lucas quickly replied, "I'm sorry. Let's put our heads down and come up with a solution. Where's the plane? We need to know this before we make any plans."
Mya said, "So what if you know where the plane is? The Eight Hollows already know where we are. They must've arranged for a suicide squad to stop us along the way and force us to waste enough time for them to leave before we can get there."
Her concern was indeed worth thinking about, and everyone silently pondered to come up with a plan.
At that moment, Crystal's voice was heard. "Draco, Tempest-1 has picked up the helicopter. Our men are being sent to the medical facility for urgent treatment. The rest of you are in an even more precarious situation than them. You have to come up with a way to get out of there, and fast."
The fourth elder then said, "Maybe we could send out a plane to pick them up from Serpent's Haven? Oh, but…"
He stopped halfway as he realized it would take too long for their plane to reach Serpent's Haven. On top of that, many countries within the outlands were keeping close tabs on them, making it even more difficult to send out reinforcements.
Crystal added, "Our operation at Isle 416 is going rather smoothly, so we could mobilize a few men from there to help. But if the Eight Hollows are planning to blow up Serpent's Haven, it would make all of this meaningless.
“Right now, you guys are about to face your most difficult mission yet."
Everyone knew this fact very well. Nobody was going to come as reinforcements, so they were on their own in finding a way to survive. On top of that, time was a luxury they did not have.
Adrian said, "Get everyone off Isle 416 after their mission is over. I'll come up with something to get out of Serpent's Haven. In the meantime, I need you to keep this information top secret."
"Understood."
Adrian moved his arm around. Lena panicked when she saw this. "Don’t move your arm unless you don't want it anymore!"
He ignored her and clenched his fist. "It'll be near impossible for us to get on that plane. I'm sure our enemies will try and stop us along the way, and the plane will have taken off by the time we're done with them. From the looks of it, there's only one way for us to get out of here."
Everyone’s ears perked up when they heard this. Steel asked, "How, sir?"
"We need to send out our swiftest soldiers to silently destroy their generators."
Everyone smiled when they heard this, realizing what Adrian's plan was.
Gloria said, "You're right. They won't be able to use their computers if they don’t have any power. Without it, they won't be able to detonate the bombs."
"But we still have a problem. If I were them, I’d have a manual detonator at hand too. So, even if we cut off their electricity, they’d still be able to detonate the bombs manually," Steel said.
