I sat behind the desk of my study room with a bottle of bourbon in my hand. I stared at the bourbon through the glass, the afternoon sun reflecting on the bottle and making the amber liquid glow. I wondered why I was at it again. Drinking. It was the only thing that calmed me down when I was angry it did.
My knuckles ached in pain as I opened the bourbon bottle. My mind went back to the incident with Finn I could smell his blood on my palms. The putrid metallic smell filled my nose together with the strong smell of the bourbon. The latter was a soothing feeling compared to the former. It was the only thing I wanted to smell now.
I took a long gulp of the liquor, the alcohol burning my throat as it washed down to my stomach. My stomach churned and burned as the alcohol hit. I took the bottle away from my lips and sighed. I ran my fingers through my hair, staring at the window and the afternoon sun which bathed my whole study room with its intense golden light.
