I opened my eyes slowly letting out a yawn. I stretched my body across the bed and was surprised at how soft it was. There was an intense light coming from behind me which bathed the room and the bed I laid on. It was much warmer than it was supposed to be. I didn’t hear the sound of birds chirping, which was strange as well. Where did all the birds go? I turned to the other side of the bed lazily, and what I saw next frightened me.
It was King Dane. He was sitting on an armchair which was beside a huge fireplace. He had his legs crossed and he was glaring at me. My heart was thumping hard against my chest as my eyes met his.
He was dressed in a purple checked shirt with a pair of black pants. His tousled jet-black hair was combed neatly. His icy blue eyes were filled with rage as he watched me. His well-chiseled chin looked like they could cut through diamonds. He was gorgeous.
