Chapter 109
Never had anyone in the Newtropolis underworld heard of such a bizarre occurrence. But Donald didn't see wrongly. The man standing across from Atlas was indeed Tony Tiger.
What on earth had he just witnessed?
Crystal was no less shocked than Donald. Before arriving in Newtropolis, she heard from her family that Tabitha had married a loser—a man who had forced himself on her.
However, Atlas didn't look like a loser to Crystal at that moment.
Atlas sat in the room and asked Tony Tiger, "Is he your underling?"
Tony Tiger nodded furiously while sweating heavily as if he had just met with the Grim Reaper. He replied, "Yes, he's my underling."
Atlas commented haughtily, "He doesn't look like he's ready to let me go."
Without hesitation, Tony Tiger kicked Donald hard. "How dare you give Mr. Blackwell trouble? Do you know that he's the reason I practiced religion?
"Even I have to show my utmost respect to Mr. Blackwell. Who do you think you are, treating him in that crass manner!"
Donald coughed out a mouthful of blood when his back hit the door. His eyes were filled with disbelief.
How did Atlas do it? Tony Tiger had given up all his businesses, including donating his newly-founded company in the south of the city to charity.
"Mr. Tony, Mr. Tony, I had no idea…" Donald fell onto his knees. "Mr. Blackwell, please spare my life. It's my fault for not recognizing a great man like you. Please forgive me!"
Tony Tiger turned to Atlas. "Mr. Blackwell, sorry for the blatant disrespect tonight. I failed to teach my men well. How do you suggest I deal with him?"
Atlas finally got up. "He is not worthy of soiling my hands for. I don't even want to waste my time telling you what to do with him. Got it?"
Tony Tiger nodded knowingly. He then said to the other men, "Get him out of here and teach him a lesson. I think he doesn't need his limbs anymore."
Following that, they overheard Donald's horrific, hellish screams from the next room.
When everything settled, Crystal gave Atlas a look of disbelief. "Atlas, are you really this powerful?"
He shrugged nonchalantly. "So, are you still planning to teach me a lesson?"
She hurriedly acted cute to gain his favor. "I will not think of it again. You're so handsome. You're my idol! Our family must be snobbish and blind to your talents."
Crystal was a natural when it came to ingratiating herself with the others. Ignoring her attempts, he warned her, "Don't tell your sister about this."
She giggled, "Alright."
She spun around and saw Faith's flushed cheeks. Curious, she asked, "What's wrong, Faith? Did you see how cool my brother-in-law was?"
The drug in the spike drink started to take effect on Faith. Yet, she tried to act normal. "I'm fine. Just drop me home."
Crystal looked deflated when Faith didn't allow her to brag about Atlas. However, sending Faith home was her priority now. "Atlas, please help Faith out of the door. I'll call a cab."
Atlas nodded and turned down Tony Tiger's offer to drop them home.
Left with no choice, Tony Tiger made Donald his punching bag once more.
…
When they got out of Night Pulse, Crystal went off to hail a cab, leaving behind Atlas and Faith.
He finally asked, "Why did you take the drink, even when you knew it was spiked?"
She smirked. "And why should I listen to you?"
