Ethan’s POV I stormed into the house, my footsteps echoing across the marble floor as if daring anyone to speak. I didn’t wait for a greeting, didn’t glance at the butler standing stiffly near the stairs. My pulse was still hammering in my ears, my jaw locked tight from everything that had just happened. Then I saw them. Katelyn’s slippers. Still neatly placed near the door. Still soft. Still hers. In my angry state, I didn’t want them there, didn’t want any trace of her in my space, not when she had walked away so easily.
