LIAM’S POV
The map of our territory lay flat on the war table.
I stood over it with Zane on my left and Nate on my right. Both of them frowned at the southern border line.
“We had two rogue sightings in the last week alone,” I muttered, dragging my finger across the vulnerable zone. “How the hell are they slipping through undetected?”
Gamma Nate crossed his arms. “We’ve doubled patrols in that area. Still, nothing’s worked.”
“Maybe they’ve found a new trail. A hidden pass,” Zane added, tapping the east ridge on the map. “If they have help from inside—”
I raised my hand. “Don’t go there yet. Let's not make any assumptions. I’m not accusing anyone without proof. We might need security measures like cameras. It'll help us know everything for sure in case there's a next time.”
Zane nodded reluctantly. “Still… I don’t think we need cameras. We’ve never needed them before.”
