Chapter21:
Silvie’s POV
Stepping into the club immediately triggered flashbacks and I couldn’t stop myself from blushing profusely. I was immediately thankful for the dimness of the room that covered up this fact.
I fought the urge to glance at Kyle, instead keeping my gaze straight forward as our group made our way straight to the bar.
“We’re splitting the costs! That okay with everyone?” Becca yelled over the noise of the crowd and loud music and everyone cheered. I immediately felt anxiety wash over me because as much as we were, even while splitting, the cost of our drinking that night was definitely going to take a chunk out of my already little remaining money.
But of course, I could not object. I was too timid and I would be the only one doing so anyway.
Beside me, Kyle nudged my arm and I looked up questioningly at him.
‘Are you alright?” He mouthed, light concern on his face. I wondered a little how he’d immediately picked up on my distress.
“I’m good, thanks.” I responded and Kyle nodde
