Darian’ POV Why the fuck was her heart slowing down? I listened to every beat and felt myself sinking the more time passed before each one.  “Baby, stay with me,” her breaths were so fucking shallow and the doctors and healers were cutting her open to get the baby out but the cord was tangled around him and he had dug his teeth into…into her.  “This has never happened,” the doctor said under breath with her hands inside of Hazel. It had never happened to them but it wasn’t unusual for Lycans to have teeth at birth- however, they were usually birthed by a Lycan mother and she would heal herself quicker if she was wounded. The babies aided Hazel’s healing abilities but when Trixy’s strength ran out, she couldn’t be healed. The baby was killing her.  “Get him out.” I seethed. “My King, we are doing the best we can,” she looked up at me. “But I’m not sure how much more she can take,”  Her voice was professional and steady but we both knew what was at stake. If Hazel didn’t start healing, a
