Chapter 11 Pass Along a Message
The lights in the interrogation room were dazzlingly bright. I sat on a cold metal chair, facing the two police officers who were in charge of the interrogation.
One by one, they threw photos in front of me.
"Take a look. This is the victim."
My hands were trembling as I picked up a photo. After just one glance, I covered my mouth and retched.
The woman in the photo was wearing the red dress I had thrown away, along with the bright red dancing heels on her feet.
But that wasn't the worst past.
The worst part was her face. It had been slashed and was covered in deep cuts, rendering her a bloody mess. It made it impossible to recognize her original appearance.
However, there was a necklace hanging from her intact neck. It was a custom necklace I had once worn during a TV interview, one that had my initials "ES" engraved on the back.
"The victim's name was Shannon Fischer, a dancer at Club Nightfall."
The police officer rapped his knuckles on the table and spoke in a severe tone
