"So what if Elliot is Rosie's younger brother? It's not like they're related by blood," Angelica said swiftly. "Besides, you and Philip never registered your marriage. That makes this even more reasonable." Matilda was Philip's second wife. She had married into the Quigley family half a year after Philip's first wife passed away, and she had brought Rosie with her.
