CHAPTER 58 Lila I didn't have the courage to bend down, or even dare to pick the phone.  “I asked you a question, Lila,” he said, and I felt a shiver run through my spine.  “I don't owe you an answer,” I said, but the words came out shakier than I wanted.  “Oh, I think you do.
