Chapter 1774
Sebastian remained cold and composed as he stood off to the side, his entire presence exuding an aura that warned others to stay away. He concealed his true strength, merely observing the battle from the shadows.
In his mind, the greatest variable among them was undoubtedly Alexandra. As the top disciple of Misty Sect, her strength was unfathomable, and she was likely holding back a trump card.
If he were to reveal all his abilities now, he would have little chance of success when the real battle for the Dragon Essence began. This much was crystal clear to him.
"Pathetic and greedy humans, prepare to face divine retribution!" The blonde young lady stood in midair, her frosty gaze sweeping over Nodin and the others.
"She's already injured. She won't last much longer. Don't hesitate, and attack with everything you have!" Sebastian commanded in a firm, emotionless tone.
Nodin and the others hesitated briefly before shifting their focus back to the blonde young lady. Upon closer inspection, they noticed the flicker of evasion in her eyes and the subtle unsteadiness in her stance—clear signs that her injuries were severe.
"This guy has sharp eyes… He actually saw through her injuries." Alexandra raised an eyebrow slightly, stealing a sidelong glance at Sebastian as she muttered to herself.
Jos and Mosiah were momentarily stunned. Though skeptical of Sebastian's words, they ultimately chose to believe him. Seeing the blonde young lady's condition, they charged forward without further hesitation.
"He's right! She's injured! Don't be afraid—attack together!" Alexandra shouted in a crisp and commanding voice.
She was the first to strike, her long sword dancing like flowing starlight, cutting off the blonde young lady's escape routes.
Jos followed closely behind, swinging his spiked mace, generating a force so powerful that the very air seemed to crack under its weight. Where his attack passed, dust and debris exploded in all directions.
Mosiah employed his shadow duplication technique, his shadow blade weaving a dense web of attacks, making it nearly impossible to distinguish his real body from the countless afterimages.
Meanwhile, Nodin's trident cleaved through the air with overwhelming force, each strike carrying a deadly edge. He forced the blonde young lady to retreat further and further, leaving her on the defensive.
"Shameless humans! You will all suffer retribution!"
The blonde young lady let out a furious roar, spewing forth a torrent of scorching flames. The fire surged out like an unstoppable tide, as though it could devour the heavens and earth.
In an instant, the void itself seemed to split apart. Ice and snow melted into thick mist, and the entire canyon trembled violently. Boulders came crashing down, triggering an unrelenting avalanche, and the deafening roar of destruction echoed like the end of days.
Alexandra and the others were blasted backward by the sheer force of the attack, but they quickly regained their footing. They pressed forward again without a moment's hesitation, and their combined might sealed off any path of escape.
The blonde young lady attempted to flee, but how could Alexandra and the others possibly allow her to slip away?
Under the relentless assault of the four, the blonde young lady's injuries worsened. Her face turned as pale as paper, yet her eyes remained icy cold, filled with unyielding defiance.
"You'll never obtain the Dragon Essence! Keep dreaming!"
Suddenly, her entire body radiated a dazzling light. Her delicate hands quickly formed a seal, and her trembling figure indicated her resolve. She was about to self-destruct, intending to perish alongside Alexandra and the others.
"We can't let her self-destruct! If she does, the Dragon Essence will be lost!" Sebastian shouted coldly, his brows furrowing.
Hearing his warning, Alexandra and the others unleashed their full strength. Their swords and blades crisscrossed, forming a blindingly powerful offensive that forcibly suppressed the blonde young lady's self-destruction.
Instantly, countless deep wounds tore across her body, some revealing bone, while her blood gushed out uncontrollably. Her internal organs also suffered devastating damage, leaving her on the brink of collapse.
"Hmph! Now, you're nothing but a fallen phoenix. Do you still dare to act arrogant?" Mosiah sneered. There was a mocking grin curling at his lips as his eyes filled with contempt.
"Hand over the Dragon Essence, and we'll spare your life! Otherwise, you'll die here!" Jos threatened viciously while gripping his spiked mace tightly. Even his expression twisted with menace.
The blonde young lady, despite her dire state, let out a mocking chuckle. "There is only one Dragon Essence. If I give it to you, do you think the other three will agree?"
Her cold gaze landed on Jos, attempting to sow discord among them. There was a sly smirk forming on her lips.
"Stop trying to drive a wedge between us! Just hand over the Dragon Essence—we'll decide how to deal with it!" Mosiah snapped, his shadow blade flashing with a sharp glint.
"Oh? Is that what you really think? Are you so sure your companions feel the same way? Hahaha!" The blonde young lady scoffed.
She let out a wild, almost delirious laugh. She knew these four were not truly united. Sooner or later, they would turn against each other for the Dragon Essence.
That was her only chance at survival.
