Chapter 162

Elena was notorious for her viciousness. Despite knowing that Sebastian was poisoned, she was determined to maim him permanently. Just as her fruit knife neared its target, Sebastian reacted with startling speed. He grabbed Elena's wrist and, with his other hand balled into a fist, delivered a powerful blow to her chest. The impact sent Elena flying backward, and she spat a mouthful of blood as she flew. Her eyes widened with shock and disbelief. She couldn't understand how Sebastian could unleash such fearsome strength, even though he was poisoned. Elena had been standing with her back to the door. The force of the blow smashed the wooden door apart, flinging her onto the floor of the living room. Ignoring her injuries, she staggered to her feet and sprinted for the exit. Meanwhile, Hydra stood watch outside. Upon seeing Elena stagger out wounded, she acted without hesitation. Hydra possessed immense strength as one of Sebastian's four Gods of War and a mid-level grandmaster. She struck Elena with her palm, unleashing a howling wave of energy that seemed powerful enough to destroy anything in its path. Elena glared at Hydra and threw a punch with lethal intent. Their fists collided, creating a thunderous boom. Hydra's expression darkened as she stumbled backward, a trickle of blood escaping the corner of her mouth. Elena staggered slightly as she coughed up another mouthful of blood. She quickly suppressed the chaotic energy in her body and ran away. Meanwhile, Sebastian remained inside the room and didn't chase after Elena. Once she'd escaped, he collapsed to the ground, expelling a mouthful of dark, poisoned blood. "Bone Devourer is truly lethal," he murmured, relieved that his recent advancement into the Divine Realm might have saved his life. Without it, he might not have survived. Settling into a meditative stance, Sebastian swallowed a pill of his own creation. While the pill wasn't able to completely neutralize Bone Devourer, it could combat its effects. Shortly after, Hydra hurried into the room. "Mr. Wilder, what happened?" "I've been poisoned. Guard me," Sebastian instructed. Hydra, startled by the news, quickly moved to the doorway to keep watch. Bone Devourer was more virulent than Sebastian had anticipated. It had already spread throughout his body. Despite his advanced cultivation and the assistance of the pill, it took an entire hour to fully purge the toxin from his body. Upon seeing Sebastian open his eyes, Hydra asked with concern, "Mr. Wilder, how are you feeling?" Hydra's feelings for Sebastian ran deep. She'd once been the daughter of a prominent family that had been destroyed by enemies seven years ago. Sebastian had saved her when he passed by the ruins of her home when she was just 15 years old. Not only had Sebastian adopted Hydra, but he had also personally trained her in the martial arts. As a result, she was now one of the four Gods of War. Hence, Sebastian was not just her leader but also the closest person in her life. She wouldn't hesitate to give her life for him if instructed. "I'm all right now. Where's Queen Bee?" Sebastian asked. Hydra immediately knelt down and apologized, "She has escaped. Please punish me, Mr. Wilder." "She's very powerful. She's not someone you could handle alone, even when she's wounded. It's not your fault. I was too careless. Get up." Next, Sebastian handed Hydra a pill and continued, "You're quite badly injured too. Take this pill to heal your wounds." "Thank you, Mr. Wilder." Hydra swallowed the pill and sat down to meditate to heal her wounds. Sebastian stepped out of the room and called Cyclops to conduct an extensive search for Elena. The woman was far too dangerous. He regretted not killing her when he had the chance. Fortunately, Sebastian received good news from Drakaria. He had finally located the Zatch family's island. According to Drakaria's detailed update, the island was called Delfino Isle. He also provided its rough dimensions and numerous aerial photos. The exact details of the island, however, remained a mystery, as the Zatch family strictly prohibited outsiders from getting close. The only way in was by force, though it was an approach Sebastian was reluctant to adopt. After all, he wasn't sure if Yuliana was on the island. After some deliberation, Sebastian decided to investigate personally. He informed Lillian by phone that he would be traveling abroad. That same evening, he arrived in Quiva, the city nearest to Delfino Isle. Sebastian had decided to make the trip alone. Drakaria met Sebastian at the airport exit. They wasted no time and headed directly to the harbor. Drakaria had made all the arrangements; they boarded a boat at the dock and departed immediately. … Meanwhile, far from the sea, a man sat on a throne. He wore a black robe and a dark metal mask that concealed his features except his eyes and mouth. His piercing gaze was enough to leave one feeling terrified. Moreover, he exuded an air of formidable authority. Next to him stood a young man, Justin Zatch, dressed in an expensive suit. He looked like someone from a prominent family. Justin received a phone call, and his face lit up with joy. He bowed and said, "Celestial Master, things are going as you expected. Sebastian has boarded the boat. He is estimated to arrive here tomorrow morning." "Excellent. You have performed well. Once Sebastian is dead tomorrow, I shall reward you generously." The Celestial Master's voice was so deep and hoarse that it could send a chill down one's spine. "Thank you, Celestial Master," Justin said gratefully before bowing. "If I may, I have a question, though I'm uncertain if it is my place to ask." "Speak your mind." "Why are we going to such great lengths to kill Sebastian? He's just an insignificant man; surely any assassin could handle him easily?" "Insignificant man?" The Celestial Master laughed and shook his head. "He's not as simple as he seems. Never underestimate him; we must stick to the original plan." "Understood." Justin bowed to acknowledge the Celestial Master's instructions.
