The first fat drop of rain streaked down the tinted glass just as I sank into the plush leather backseat of the midnight blue Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Lucian slid in beside me, nodding for the chauffeur to raise the privacy shield. The city lights blurred by, and all I could hear for a moment was the gentle drum of the rain.
