Dorothy's POV
Holden collapsed in a heap on the bar’s sticky tile floor, clutching his mangled hand and howling like a wounded animal. I didn’t flinch.
"I'm the only heir to the Holden family!" he screeched, spittle flying. "Wait till my grandfather hears about this! He’ll destroy you! You’ll regret ever being born!"
I arched an eyebrow. "What is this, daycare? You going to cry to Grandpa because two women wiped the floor with you?"
His eyes widened as I raised my hand just slightly. He cowered like I’d just shifted into my wolf. I clicked my tongue, disgust curling in my chest. "Loser."
Then he made another mistake. His hand darted inside his jacket. Instinct took over. I grabbed his wrist, twisted hard. The crack echoed like a starter pistol.
He screamed.
"Third bone tonight," Kaia murmured. "Your pack lawyer’s gonna need a raise."
The bar manager skidded into view, white-faced and sweating. "Ladies—gentleman—please, let’s not make this worse—"
