Chapter 359
“If that doesn’t work, then at least dock her pay for six months, right?”
Richard Black tossed his suggestion casually.
For Christine Hayes, that was a hefty penalty. Six months of pay gone? That was no joke.
Sure, Sarah Knight might want to set an example, but come on—some leeway should be given. It’s basic workplace etiquette.
But Sarah didn’t budge. “I already said it—she’s fired. Non-negotiable.”
It really felt like Sarah was going for the kill here.
Christine had already been pissed when wage docking was mentioned, and six months' worth? She was barely keeping it together. But now that Sarah still wouldn’t let go, she completely snapped.
“Sarah Knight, you may be the chairwoman, but you only hold fifty percent of the company’s shares! The remaining half belongs to Mr. Ford and Miss Sophia Ford. As the HR director, you can’t just boot me without their consent!”
Christine raised her voice, glaring at Sarah. Backing from Bennett Ford or not, this company still had ‘Ford’ in its blood
