Aiden glanced at Lilah first, then obediently nodded at his great-grandma.
Lilah's eyes dimmed slightly as she thought of Dylan—Aurora's kid. Kids really come into this world like blank slates, and it's up to the adults to guide them right. Dylan clearly wasn't getting the guidance he needed. Last time she had to step in and say something, but honestly, who knows if it made any difference.
"Sweetheart," Lisa waved her over suddenly, motioning for her to sit next to her.
Lilah got up and quietly walked to Lisa's side, taking a seat.
Holding her hand fondly, Lisa smiled. "Aiden's getting to the age for kindergarten now. Have you and Gabriel thought about having another baby?"
Lilah blinked, caught off guard by how out-of-the-blue that question was. After pausing a moment, she answered sincerely, "We haven't thought that far—Gabriel's schedule's packed, and I also want to focus more on work for the time being. Having another kid might be something we revisit in a few years."
