Neptune stared at his phone, and for the first time in years, a rare smile touched his face. Without hesitation, he packed his things, ready to leave this place forever. Slinging a travel bag over his shoulder, he opened the door—only to be greeted by a bright-eyed young woman grinning at him.
"Hey there, old man. Fancy running into you here."
His smile vanished, though Helen could still sense he seemed lighter than usual.
"We’re not a match," he said flatly, striding past her. "And I’m leaving."
Helen hurried after him. "How would you know if you’ve never even tried dating me? Where are you going, anyway? Traveling? Let’s go together! I haven’t been on a trip in ages."
Annoyed, Neptune spun around, brows drawn. "How did you even find me? Are you stalking me? This is a violation of my privacy—I could call the police."
