Chapter 75: A Divine Intervention XENOIS The moment Thorne's voice broke through the moment that I was having with Sophia, I felt like I'd been poured with ice water. The fog that had been clouding my mind for the past several minutes began to leave, and suddenly I had full control of my senses. I was standing in front of my son's school, holding another woman while my mate had just driven away in tears, after I had not picked her side and chose another woman over her. The woman I was holding had just kissed me, and I had – God help me – kissed her back. What the hell was wrong with me? I felt a rush of relief flowing through me when I saw Thorne's familiar face, even though part of me was furious at the tone that he used iin his voice.  He was looking at me like I was a stranger, like I had done something so unexpected of me that he couldn't process it. "Thorne," I said again, my voice sounding more steady now that some of the strange fog had cleared out of my system. "I can explain."
