Kyra had been giving me the cold shoulder and it worsened after our confrontation last night. The moment I'd threatened her father, something in her green wolf eyes had shattered—and I knew I'd crossed a line even my Alpha dominance couldn't undo.
I took a long drag from my cigarette, the smoke curling around me like the fading scent of our broken bond. I was sitting on the single couch inside the study room. There was a mess—files torn apart, papers scattered like prey after a hunt. Kyra's doing, no doubt. She'd uncovered everything: Amanda's schemes, my revenge plans... all of it.
I gritted my teeth after I remembered how she looked at me with nothing but hatred and disappointment.
She already fell for me. She loved me but her anger was so intense that she forgot about it.
