OLIVIA’S POV
Back in my room, I gently caressed my slightly swollen belly. The warmth of my touch against my abdomen was the only comfort I had left.
"You and me, little one," I whispered softly, closing my eyes. "We’re in this together."
“Olivia, just… leave the kitchen.” His words repeated in my mind and I sighed once again and closed my eyes. The weight of the day pressed down on me, but I pushed it away, refusing to dwell on the events that had left me humiliated. I couldn’t afford to crumble—not when I had a life growing inside me that depended on me.
Taking a deep breath, I stepped toward my wardrobe and pulled out a gown. The annual Wolfpack ball was only days away. As the Luna of the Blackwood Pack, it was my responsibility to represent our people with grace and dignity. Even if my mate barely acknowledged me anymore.
