THIRD PERSON’S POV
The clash of metal and magic split the air like thunder.
Dominic ducked just in time to dodge the swipe of a royal warrior’s blade, his own claws extending as he twisted around and slammed his fist into the man’s jaw. The warrior crumpled, but another took his place instantly.
They kept coming—wave after wave—royal guards trained to fight supernatural threats, and they fought like machines, like nothing Dominic had ever faced. Behind them, witches chanted in unison, forming binding spells that surged through the battlefield like invisible chains.
Derek was already bleeding, one arm clutched to his ribs as he shielded two younger warriors behind him. Dorian, cocky and confident, moved with purpose through the chaos, only lifting a finger when he absolutely needed to. He wasn’t fighting to win; he was waiting.
