ALPHA DOMINIC’S POV
The air was thick with smoke and fear.
We crossed the eastern border of Dorian’s territory with a force that could flatten any pack—yet what met us wasn’t resistance. It was chaos.
Mothers with babies strapped to their backs ran from burning homes. Warriors stood confused, shouting orders that no one was listening to. Children clung to each other, their faces smeared with soot and tears, their sobs drowned beneath the shrieks of frightened wolves and collapsing structures.
This wasn’t a battlefield.
It was a sinking ship.
“Hold formation!” I barked, raising my hand. “Don’t engage. Let them flee.”
Derek stopped beside me, panting. “What the hell is this?”
I looked around, heart pounding. “He’s losing everything. His people… they’ve already turned on him.”
Some warriors raised weapons against us, only to drop them when they realized who we were. A few of them even fell to their knees and begged for asylum—others simply ran.
