ALPHA DOMINIC’S POV The knock came at dawn. Sharp. Urgent. I was already awake—truthfully, I hadn’t slept at all. My wolf had been restless the entire night, pacing beneath my skin, ears perked toward something distant. Something wrong. Until now, my wolf was grieving for his mate, but now we both were restless. Something is wrong with Olivia, I could tell. “Alpha,” Ezra’s voice came through the door. “You need to hear this.” I opened it at once, eyes meeting his grim expression. He looked shaken, his usually steady presence cracked with tension. “It’s Dorian,” he said. “Something happened. Something… really bad.” My heart dropped. “Olivia? Is she okay?” He nodded once. “We intercepted a few rogues fleeing Dorian’s territory. One of them used to be one of Dorian’s border guards. Said there was an… incident. Something about witches.
