Lily's eyes widened, her nostrils flaring. "Kiss you back?" she nearly screamed. Her hand shot up, pointing at him. "You forced yourself on me! You pinned me down like—like an animal! Don't you dare twist this!" Her voice echoed through the apartment. For a moment, David's smile vanished. His eyes darkened and his jaw tightened. But instead of apologizing, he scoffed, "I'm not leaving. I'm staying here tonight, do whatever you want." Lily's whole body trembled with rage. She threw her bag on the sofa and marched straight to him, stopping only inches away, glaring up at him though her eyes were glossy with unshed tears. "Leave me alone. You… you make me sick, David. You think everything is a game, don't you? Do you ever stop to think about what you're doing to me?" David's sharp gaze lingered on Lily, his lips parting as if he were about to throw another biting remark. But before a word escaped, a low, undeniable sound cut through the tension.
