Chapter 24 Solving the Problem
Barren's coldness hurt Jane greatly. The indifference in his eyes broke Jane's heart.
She remained silent and looked at him, her eyes glazing.
After exchanging glances for a while, Barren turned and walked out of the bedroom.
There was mounting tension in the room.
Jane thought, he refused to admit what Alice told me.
Was Alice lying?
Jane was silent with her lips pursed. She couldn't feel more terrible right now.
That night, Barren didn't return to the bedroom again, but Jane knew he remained in the Hills Mansion since she did not hear the sound of Barren's car.
