Chapter 1460

"Give me your reason." Ines remained silent. Solomon pondered momentarily before saying, "If you don't want to continue living here, you can move to Pear Garden Residence. I have a villa and a duplex there. You can choose which one you like. However, it's in the suburbs, so although the environment is good, it's a bit far from your company." He paused, seemingly contemplating, then continued, "I'll arrange a driver for you. That way, you don't have to drive yourself, and you can rest on the commute.” He knew she loved to sleep in, especially in the winter when getting out of bed was a struggle. Ines listened to Solomon's words, her hand gripping her knee tightly, her knuckles turning white. After a while, she softly replied, "That won’t be necessary." "Hmm?" Solomon stared at her. "No need for a driver or—" Before he could finish his sentence, Ines interjected. "Mr. Rowland, let's break up." Hearing her say this for the second time today, Solomon felt irritated. Taking a sip of his wine, he replied, "Ines, I don't have much patience for coaxing girls." "I know." Ines smiled gently, her tone distant and polite. "Mr. Rowland, I'm not throwing a tantrum, nor am I playing hard to get. I'm genuinely tired of this and don't want to continue. I've already packed my bags, and I'll move out after tonight." Solomon stared at Ines, his gaze gradually turning cold. "Am I not good enough for you?" Ines did not look at him, her eyes gazing toward the balcony as she replied with a smile, "Of course not, Mr. Rowland. You've been very good to me. To be honest, I've been happy and satisfied these past two years, but now, I don't want to continue like this anymore. I want a different life. “And most importantly, Mr. Rowland, I no longer love you. So, I think it's time for us to break up. Didn't you say that to me before, not to have too much hope for you when we got together?" Solomon furrowed his brows. Did he really say that back then? He could not recall. He never lacked women by his side, whether they were actively pursuing him or caught his eye. Ines was the latter. He met her at a bar, helped her out of a predicament, took her to dinner on another occasion, got her contact information, and they became acquainted. She was beautiful, had a great figure, was emotionally intelligent, and spoke softly and tenderly, which he liked. When he found out she was single, he pursued her. As expected, within a month, Ines became his girlfriend. At the time, Solomon never considered how long they would be together, nor did he consider such matters. He only cared about enjoying himself. Unexpectedly, Ines was very understanding. As they spent more time together, he realized she was different from other women and grew fond of her. Living together first crossed his mind when he caught a cold. He had a minor cold, which he did not pay much attention to, but she was anxious. She stayed by his bedside all night, caring for him and making porridge. Solomon was still lost in memories when Ines spoke up again, "Mr. Rowland, let's part amicably, okay?" Her tone was almost pleading. Solomon raised an eyebrow, the smile on his lips fading slightly. "Calling me Mr. Rowland so formally, it seems you really want to break up with me." Ines kept her gaze on Solomon. Her smile was still gentle. "Yes, please grant me that." Solomon placed his wine glass on the table and fiddled with the lighter in his hand, feeling extremely frustrated as if something was slipping out of his control. In the morning at the TV station, he had genuinely thought Ines was throwing a tantrum. He never imagined that she would ask to break up with him one day. She wanted to leave him. Solomon chuckled. Who was he to grant her anything? "Mr. Rowland..." Ines wanted to say something more, but Solomon abruptly stood up the next moment.
