Vivian knew that even the most reckless among them wouldn't dare fire a shot at the docks.
So she faced two men alone and launched her attack.
In just a few swift moves, she had felled both, then rushed forward, kicking away the man on Camilla's right. But the other man suddenly locked his arm around Camilla's waist, pressing a cloth-wrapped object against her side as he warned Vivian, "Take one more step, and I'll kill her."
Beneath the fabric was a gun—lethal and primed to fire.
"Then do it."
Vivian shrugged, feigning utter indifference.
She knew Camilla must mean something to them—otherwise, why go to such lengths to bring her all the way from China to Cyron?
If they truly wanted her dead, they would've done it long ago.
"Hmph. Then I'll start by killing *you*!"
With that, the man aimed the gun at Vivian's face. Hidden beneath the cloth, the weapon went unnoticed by the crowd.
