I closed my eyes and let the memories play out in my mind. A moment later, I felt warmth settling over me.
When I opened my eyes, Marcus was draping a light blanket across my shoulders. Our eyes met, and he looked slightly uncomfortable as he adjusted the blanket higher.
"Get some rest. I'll wake you when we land."
I clutched the blanket, my feelings complicated. Even now, I still didn't understand why Marcus had stepped forward to marry me that day.
